My name is Maria De La Cruz and I am in the editor of www.hauteinstinct.com a fashion and lifestyle website. I am also the creative director of Haute and Rebellious (www.hauteandrebellious.com) A fashion forward Clothing Brand. I started blogging through chictopia in 2009. After a long brake, I am returning to the blogging world with a new blog called Haute Instinct. The word haute represents my sophisticated style with a modern twist and instinct is my inner voice that makes me trust my creative decisions. I use blogging as a way of self-expression and a way to continue growing artistically. In 2015 I had a scared with cancer and that made me realize that we need to do what we love because life is too short. So I encourage you to believe in yourself, follow your instinct and go for big dreams. I am living mine everyday. I never though in a million years I would own a successful company nonetheless have a second chance to life.

A little bit about my experience I I worked in the fashion industry for over 7 years. I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.

I wear a lot of Haute and Rebellious and not because is my brand but because I genuinally love every piece in my store. I think fashion is not about how much money you spend but how you look and style it. Quality and design are very important aspects. I like to splurge in bags, accessories and shoes.

In my spare time I love to hang out with my boyfriend and business partner Chris and my four pound yorki Gucci, I like to interior decorate my house, I love going to music festivals, I like to go to concerts, and going dancing. I love photography and drawing.
