This particular neon orange birkin bag, which is fashioned very much like a messenger or satchel, was bought online on eBay, though it was originally being offered by Free People. Similar bags are also known as the “Kelly Bag” after Grace Kelly fondness for its design.
French fashion house of Hermès has a very wide selection of birkins, of course, if your budget allows but there are plenty of similar “birkin” bags, with and without tiny padlocks on the faux closure that appears on the front flap.
The back side of this bag also has a zippered pocket for things like a passport or travel documents but it’s also handy to quickly stash your sunglasses.
It measures approximately 13 x 8.75 x 5.25 inches with a 21 plus inch shoulder strap drop that enables the bag to be worn as a crossbody bag.
This birkin has a signature rectangular look, like most Kelly bags or birkins but the closure is more for the look than functional.
The handle on top of the bag is more for the “showing” than functional as the magnetic clasp opens up, especially if the bag is laden down with a lot of contents.
I just bought this distressed canvas backpack with distressed leather detailing on the front flap with stud embellishment. Adjustable leather shoulder straps and leather handle at the top. Leather buckle straps secure the front flap to the bottom of the bag. Main compartment has zipper closure at the top, one zipper pocket, two pencil holders, and one pocket pouch. The front of the backpack, underneath the flap, has one zipper compartment and some pocket compartments. It's gorgeous!!
