I'm apologizing in advance for my huge lack of posts this week, but hear me out. I'm about half way through my very last online MBA course and this week we have an analysis paper due in addition to submissions on a continuous group project that progresses throughout the course of the semester. My group has to meet online a few times this week, anddd on top of that, it's the month-end close at my accounting job- which means it's literally the busiest week of the month for us. I had hopes of posting two more times this week but I don't think I have enough hours in the day to put everything together so that it doesn't look rushed. I promise, next week will be so much better.
Anyway, I bought this asymmetrical striped skirt from missguided on sale back in September or October. I loved it but when I got it, I wasn't sure how to style it, which means it hung on the hanger in my closet for the better half of the year. I recently was browsing Pinterest and immediately had a style ah-ha moment after seeing a girl style a loose fitting sweater tucked in with a pencil skirt. It's so genius. This skirt is white and a little tight which means the top determines whether the look is more on the revealing side, which is what I did not want. The sweater balances it out perfectly. Nude heeled sandals make this look seasonally appropriate. I think this outfit is perfect for a night out when the temps are a little lower. So glad this skirt finally got the wear it deserves. I guess it's all about the timing!
Thanks for reading, hope you have a great weekend. Stop by next week to check out how I styled my newest pair of heels (as seen on ig here) and a really cool band tour tee.
In the meantime, check out a few of my fav skirts below that are similar to the one above. Sorry I took so long to style it, it's of course since sold out, but these versions are just as good.
