Often times it can be hard to find products that are best suited for you and with so many being out there, it’s hard and sometimes frustrating to try and decide which product to buy. At least that’s how I feel, and when it comes to hair care it becomes more complicated. There are shampoos for dryness but aren’t made for color treated hair. The color treated shampoos don’t focus on strengthening and helping my hair grow. I can only use one shampoo at a time and it becomes frustrating that I have to forgo some of my hair goals and pick the product that only helps one or two of my hair goals (usually it’s the one for color treated hair). Recently, I discovered Function of Beauty, a company that actually customizes a shampoo and conditioner set based on your hair type and hair goals and I was so inspired by how innovative they are by combining personalization with technology to create specialized products for every girl.
You begin by answering questions about your hair type, mine is curly, oily and medium texture.
Next, I selected my top five hair goals; lengthening, thermal protection, strengthening, color protection and to fix split ends.
Lastly, you can even customize the label of the bottles with your name and the fragrance of the set. I selected White Tea Jasmine which smells so pretty and clean.
When the set arrived I was so excited to try it out and it even came up with a personalized fold out card listing all product ingredients which are all-natural and paraben and sulfate free, my personal profile and based on that, directions on how to use the shampoo and conditioner.
After using the customized set, my hair felt soft, renewed and had such great volume and shine to it that styling it was super easy and it turned out looking the best it ever has. My ends felt soft and were frizz free. My blonde had more shine to it and I noticed less breakage while styling with the blow dryer and curling iron.
I felt so good about how my hair looked that I put on a skirt and tank-top for a fun and flirty look to wear out this weekend.
