If you live on the East Coast then you’ve experienced the brutal winters. Not only the below freezing temps, but the extreme snow and bone-chilling winds that come along with it. Anticipating this type of weather each year, I put major thought into the pieces that will keep me warm and in style. This post focuses on the new things I have on rotation this winter.
This Bernardo coat from Nordstrom comes in the most amazing colors. I love the ‘Port Wine’ color because it’s such a pretty dark shade of red. I love the fit of this jacket and how lightweight and warm it is. I got this as a Christmas gift from my nana, and she got an amazing find. As for sizing, it’s true to size, I opted for petite since I’m 5’0 and the length was just right.
I saw this wool Lanvin scarf and purposely picked it in the plaid dark red to compliment the Bernardo coat. This scarf is so so warm and also looks great with my other coats. It’s actually a men’s scarf that Nordstrom had on sale right after Christmas, so I got a huge steal with this one!
My whole life I’ve always ever worn ski gloves or knitted gloves. I purchased these ‘Iconic’ Coach leather gloves a few years ago for a more sophisticated look for the office and for nights out. The inside is lined with wool and they’re the warmest pair I own. I highly recommend these, plus they’re on sale for an amazing price right now.
Not sure if it’s just me, but I consider a handbag a winter accessory as well. This time of year, it’s a must to carry a large tote that’s durable and won’t mind a bit of rain or snowfall hitting it. My parents bought me this Tory Burch tote for Christmas and it’s now my everyday bag. It’s roomy which is perfect for stowing my scarf and gloves in when indoors while out and about. I even can fit the Bernardo coat in there and still have room for my everyday essentials.
Saving the best for last, boots! They’re all I wear for the cold and the endless styles keep me shopping and wanting them all. I recently came across Beast Fashion who has some really amazing styles and colors for this season. I opted for the Ivy in Cognac. I love that these have a larger heel which makes them more comfortable to walk around in. I love how perfectly this color pops against my dark red accessories. I also got a few other styles from Beast Fashion that I can’t wait to show you guys later this week.
